Series 1:  Podcast Episode #7
The 5 Top Safety Secrets – Tip #5 – Repetition
How to Protect your Child from Sexual Predators

In our 7th podcast episode Preston Jones wraps up the 5 Top Safety Secrets.  Today we talk about Tip #5 – Repetition. Preston explains the importance of repeating all the safety tips we have covered in this series. Repetition is the key to learning all of the safety tips. Children need constant reminders and examples – the younger the child – the more often you need to repeat the tip. As you go about your day, point out examples to your child – different examples and scenerios will help your child gain a greater understanding of each tip and eventually these tips will become habit and that's when you know you have a child who is aware and alert. Never let your guard down, it's always a good idea to ask questions to see if your child can remember the action that they have been taught.

Repeat often! Ask your child questions about safety – let them teach you – then you know that they have learned what they need to know.
